We help customers select material around budget, use, maintenance, design goals, indoor or outdoor location, slab size, and fabrication risk. For natural stone, we also review fissures, veins, and weak areas before cutting whenever possible.

Vein direction and visual flow are planned across countertops, islands, waterfall panels, seams, and adjoining pieces. The objective is a design that makes visual and technical sense before the stone is committed.

Template confirms actual field measurements, walls that are out of square, sink and cooktop cutouts, faucet holes, overhangs, seams, backsplash dimensions, island geometry, waterfall pieces, access, and final layout conditions.

Before template, cabinets should be installed, secured, and level. Appliance dimensions, sink choice, cooktop specifications, faucet locations, and the final layout should be available or confirmed.

Installation may include cabinet and floor protection, dry fit, field verification, seam alignment and finishing, appropriate leveling or shimming, approved setting methods, sink coordination, backsplash, waterfall panels, final inspection, and cleanup.

Seams are minimized whenever practical but may be required by slab size, access, structure, fabrication constraints, aesthetics, or budget. Overhangs and unsupported stone are reviewed so the customer understands the appropriate support.

Most standard projects move through fabrication and installation in approximately 3–5 business days once the slab is in Backup Services’ possession, subject to project conditions. An expected installation window is communicated after template.

Backup Services provides a one-year workmanship warranty. Coverage applies to our workmanship and does not automatically extend to natural-stone characteristics, structural movement, abuse, third-party work, or conditions outside our control.
